Who home physiotherapy makes sense for

Physiotherapy at home is for anyone who cannot get to a clinic, or for whom getting there is so hard that the treatment ends up half finished. If you can travel without difficulty, a clinic is probably better for you, and we will say so.

And there is something that does not depend on the diagnosis: at home you work with the real furniture, the real stairs and the real bed. You practise what the person is going to do the next day.
  • After an operationYou have been discharged, rehabilitation has been prescribed and you are not driving or managing the stairs yet. The first weeks are the ones that shape the recovery, and they are the hardest to handle away from home.
  • When mobility has been lost over the yearsGetting up from the chair, walking down the hallway, going out without fear. It works better where the person lives than in an unfamiliar room.
  • When an illness makes going out difficultThere are conditions where the journey uses up the energy the session needed.
  • When pain turns the journey into a problemGoing for treatment should not hurt more than the treatment itself.

What we treat without you leaving home

These are the areas our physiotherapy and rehabilitation service covers.

Post-surgical rehabilitation

Recovery after surgery, following the plan set by the medical team that operated on you.

Geriatric physiotherapy

Treatment designed for older people, at the pace and with the precautions that age calls for. It is not the same session you would give a thirty-year-old athlete.

Regaining mobility

Moving safely again: standing up, walking, climbing a step, reaching a cupboard.

Balance and fall prevention

A fall at home can cost a person their whole independence. Stability is worked on before it happens, not after.

Pain management

Treatment of pain that limits movement and rest, within the plan your doctor has set out.

Personalised exercise plans

Exercises adapted to the person and their home, to hold on between sessions to what is being gained.

The programme is decided after seeing the patient

There is no standard number of sessions and no fixed duration, because no two recoveries are the same. A knee operated on at fifty and a loss of strength at eighty-five are not treated in the same way, even though both are called physiotherapy at home.

That is why the order is this: first we come to your home, we see the patient, we talk to the family and we look at the medical report if there is one. Then we tell you what we propose, how often and for how long. And we give it to you in writing before you decide anything.

The initial assessment is free and does not commit you to anything.

Physiotherapy should not run separately from the rest of your treatment

Curis Care coordinates physiotherapy with the doctor who prescribed the treatment, and can add home nursing within the same care plan.

A self-employed physiotherapist does their session well and leaves. If your father also needs someone to dress a surgical wound, check his blood pressure or review his medication, you have to find another professional, explain everything again and hope the two of them agree on the approach.

We are a healthcare company with our own home nursing and a coordination line that speaks to your orthopaedic surgeon, your rehabilitation consultant or the hospital that discharged you. One point of contact and one plan, with the family kept informed even if they live outside Spain.

What home physiotherapy costs and how the price is worked out

We do not publish a price per session because it would be a false figure. The price depends on the programme, and the programme depends on the patient.

What affects the price

How many sessions a week, for how many weeks, and whether the case also needs nursing visits. Travel to your home is included, it is not charged separately.

  1. 1

    Free assessment

We come to your home, see the situation and listen to what is needed. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

  2. 2

    Proposal in writing

We give you what we propose and what it costs, itemised. You decide with the paper in front of you.

  3. 3

    A review if things change

If the patient improves and needs less, it is adjusted. If things get harder and more is needed, we tell you beforehand, not on the invoice.

We would rather you knew the price for your own case than walked away with a shop-window figure that turns out to look nothing like the invoice. This is how we handle quotes across all our services.

Four steps to the first session

  1. 1You call or message usWe reply in under 2 hours.

  3. 3We send you the plan in writingWhat will be done, how often and what it costs.
  4. 4Treatment beginsUsually 24 to 48 hours after the assessment. If the case is urgent, the same day.

We work in Spanish and in English

Many families on the Costa del Sol organise care for a parent from another country, or live here without fluent Spanish. Our team works in both languages and speaks to doctors and hospitals on your behalf. If you live abroad, you get the same information as if you were sitting in the living room.

What a patient says after coming out of surgery

★★★★★

"After my surgery, the home physiotherapy service was exactly what I needed. The therapist was expert and patient. I recovered much faster thanks to their personalised approach."

What people ask us most

There is no single rate. The price depends on how many sessions you need, over how long, and on whether the case also requires nursing. We carry out a free assessment at your home and give you the quote in writing before we start.

It depends on the case, and nobody can tell you over the phone without having seen the patient. We define it at the assessment, with the medical report in front of us if there is one, and it is set out in writing in the proposal.

Yes. Curis Care is a healthcare company registered in Spain and works with qualified professionals, with background checks and ongoing training. We also hold public liability insurance.

Yes. The office is in Fuengirola and the service covers Málaga city and the whole Costa del Sol. The physiotherapist’s travel is included in the price: it is not charged separately and it does not appear as an extra on the invoice.

Yes, and it is one of the reasons families choose us. We have a care coordination line that speaks to your doctor, your rehabilitation consultant or the hospital that discharged you, so that treatment at home follows the prescribed plan.

Yes. The team is bilingual in Spanish and English, and we are used to working with international families and with children organising care from outside Spain.

We reply in under 2 hours. Treatment usually starts between 24 and 48 hours after the assessment, and urgent cases are seen the same day.
